The PRCA is committed to making some of its funds available for educational bursaries annually. This is to facilitate continuing professional development for members.

Each year £500 is set aside to facilitate podiatric involvement in rheumatology. If there are no applications within the year time frame, then the money is added into the pot for the following year. To date there has been very little interest in these funds.

PRCA members who would like to apply for a bursary should request the relevant form, that is available from the association’s secretary, to be forwarded to them. Each application should be accompanied by details of the proposed course, programme of the proposed visit and/or evidence of accepted abstract for presentation. Also details should be included of all costs and any additional costs that the PRCA member will incur themselves.

Three copies of the completed application should be returned to the association’s secretary when it will be sent out to the rest of the PRCA committee for scrutiny and approval. Anonymity for applicants is guaranteed at this stage.

To enhance chances of success it is recommended that you include in your application information about the relevance of the event you wish to attend, how it will enhance clinical practice and how dissemination of the information is proposed.

Successful applicants may be requested to provide a brief article and/or presentation for future PRCA newsletters or conferences.

To apply please print off the form below and return it to:
